A word from the Chairman

Firstly, welcome to our new members. It is great that you have joined us and we look forward to seeing your images in the future.

I mentioned the Free PhotoBook app for your phone at the meeting this week, and here's a link if you want to download it Get Free Photo Books | FreePrints Photobooks App UK.  You do have to create the books on your phone or tablet, there isn't a PC or Mac option but you can link your Google Photos/Dropbox or OneDrive and upload from there.  Although it is "free", delivery is £5.99 and you get 20 pages with a soft cover, upgrades are available.

And this is the link I refer to https://www.freeprintsphotobooks.co.uk/

Take care, and hope to see you on Tuesday

This Week

This week's meeting was the first competition of the season. It was a good turn out on the night and we were treated to a fantastic set of  images from our members, as usual.

Our judge for the evening was Susie Freeman from Hoylake PC. Susie managed to give some good and constructive critique on every image, better than some judges we've had in the past I might say.

So on to the scores on the doors.

Point of Ayr and the Talacre Lighthouse

An invitation from Vincent Verzijl

Good afternoon all. On Thursday 31st October I will be going to shoot “Point of Ayr and the Talacre Lighthouse”. This is in N-Wales (not too far from Rhyl). I am hoping to catch the sunset. Golden hour starts at 15:50 and the sun sets around 17:19. I am leaving Wilmslow around 13:30 and have room for three more people (and their gear) in my car. If anyone fancies the trip please let me know. I attach a link (https://mattboxley.com/talacre-lighthouse/) which provides a little more info about the location. If there is more interest than room in my car I might be looking for someone to volunteer driving there as well.
