A word from the Chairman

At the Member’s evening on 8th April we are having a review of this year's competition images. If you are particularly pleased with any of your submissions, even if it did not receive an award, we would be grateful if you would give a short presentation (5-10 minutes) about it.

This could take the form of why it was shot, where it was shot, what with and if it was processed, how it was processed, or anything else you think might be of interest to members. If this could be a visual, projected presentation so much the better.

The evening will be very informal so the more members that take part the better it will be.

If you are willing to participate please email David Hardy ( djh1@gmx.co.uk ) so that he can compile a running order for the evening.

Project Group

This weeks meeting of the project group was a well attended evening. There was a super and many varied set of members images with some interesting takes on the theme of eggs and filters.

Bill has passed on that this was the last meeting of the season and the topic for the next meeting was not decided. This will probably be a discussion point for the next AGM.

Competition Night

The next meeting will be the final competition of the year. With this being the final competition of the season it will be the decider for the Photographer of the Year. As it stands there is only 6 marks separating the top three members, so it is a close battle. Good luck for all that have entered competition number six.

Just to remind you, there was a message sent out by David Hardy, that due to the amazing volume of entries in the Open Colour section he has unfortunately had to make the decision to cull the entries for this section from 3 to 2 per member. The themed section is untouched so all 3 entries stand.

A NEW BOOK by Adrian McGarry
