Project Group
Project Group update.
The first meeting of the season on Tuesday saw 25 people attending and contributions from many of them. As usual, the themes of 10 Images from the Summer and Silhouettes produced a broad ranging array of images from all parts of the world.
Clearly the show management were so captivated with what they were seeing that they forgot to control the timing and the show ran on into extra time.
My thanks to Ian for handling the projecting and to all who attended and contributed to the evening.
Remember if you have been involved in a project, had a holiday or event somewhere which might be of interest to others and would like to show more of your images please get in touch with Fiona and book yourself a spot on a Members Evening.
Back to the Project Group , the next meeting is 27th October and the chosen themes are1. ‘Bridges’. An everyday thing that many of us don’t even notice but they can be exceptional pieces of design, beauty and ingenuity. And also dull. The challenge is to photograph them in an appealing way.
2. ‘A beautiful picture of something ugly’. A contradiction in terms maybe, but also a challenge to your imagination and photographic skills. What can you come up with?
As usual the interpretation is up to you, it is not a competition and the idea is to get you out taking pictures of different subjects (not digging them out of the archive please) with the aim of give a five minute presentation. There is opportunity here to try those different camera settings and learn what they can/cannot do.
Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions or suggestions.
