Project Group Meeting 7/10/25

I think Tuesday nights Project Group must have been a record , both it terms of numbers attending (27) and numbers contributing (15).  the two set subjects, Rain and What I did in the Summer were well covered in all manner of ways showing great imagination and revealing some well travelled members. Indeed , such is the enthusiasm of some that they might want to consider giving us a fuller talk on their journeys during a Members Evening . (Speak to Fiona to get yourself a slot booked).  My thanks to all who came along.

The next meeting is on Tuesday 4th November and the chosen subjects are:-

1. Woodland

2. Extreme , this is a tricky one so its only fair to put a loose interpretation on it. lets see what you come up with.

As usual, images on a otherwise clear USB stick, no need to resize and aim to make your presentation for around 5 minutes.

Competition Week

The entry for our first competition has been massive. Well over 100 images were entered (we normally get 60 or 70) so well done to everyone who made the effort. Unfortunately that means that I have had to cull the entries for both sections so the third image of each entry has been cut. If you only entered two then both will be in the competition. Looking on the bright side, so early in the season, it means that you already have a couple of images to carry forward to future competitions. There are some cracking images entered so I look forward to seeing you all next week for what promises to be an excellent competition.

Here is a reminder of the themes for this season's competition.

  1. People - Mono
  2. Reflections - Colour - Print
  3. Within 20 Miles of Home - Mono
  4. Nature/Animals - Colour (pets and Zoo included)
  5. Architecture - Mono - Print
  6. Composite - Colour (From as simple as a texture to as complicated as you like)
