The evening got of to a good start with David Hardy running through the Colour entries. There was a wide range of fantastic images an a vast amount of subjects. This was followed by the Mono section, with again a great selection of images, which made choosing your favourites extremely difficult. After a short break  David revealed the top images.....

John O'Brien
"lost in Thought"

David Hardy
"Midnight Tokyo"

To finish of the evening we had a small presentation from Bill our resident vintage camera lens expert. This was a great presentation from his ongoing 365 project. How he manages to marry some of these old early 20th century manual lenses to modern cameras is beyond me, but he does, with some very interesting results. Many thanks to Bill for a very interesting talk.

Photo Walk

The final meeting of the year will take the form of a photo walk around Wilmslow. The method for taking the photos will be by phone camera. I understand we will be meeting at the Conservative club at the usual time of 19:30 spending an hour or so exploring Wilmslow then going on the Mucky Pup off Grove street for a quick beverage. Part of the first meeting of next season will be a review of the images from the Wilmslow photo walk.

Project Group

Project Group Update.

Following a successful season , we hope to continue the Project Group meetings in the next season. A date has yet to be announced for the first meeting but at least we can get on with taking some photos with the following themes in mind. The interpretation , as ever is up to you, aim to give a presentation that will last up to five minutes.
1. 'Up to 10 images from the Summer’ - this is a wide open theme, apart from selected holiday pictures, consider other successes, failures, what went wrongs, what should I have done in this situation? etc. In fact any image that can be admired, talked about or learned from.
2.‘Rain’ Hopefully it should arrive here again at some time , or, where did you go to find it? and how do you photograph it ?? Remember its not a competion, but taking part can often lead to Competition entries. I hope you all have a good Summer.

Next Season's Competitions

Here are the themes for next season's competition as supplied by David Hardy (Competition Secretary)

People - Mono

Reflections - Colour - Print

Within 20 Miles of Home - Mono

Nature/Animals - Colour (pets and Zoo included)

These are ideas that I have had. They are by no means a final list. If you have any other ideas please let David know otherwise this will be the list for next season.
