Tim Gamble
This week's guest speaker was Tim Gamble. Tim is an extraordinary and talented Photographer, whose chose medium for his art is light, It was truly amazing how he had found the many uses of artificial light to develop his skills in light painting photography, by using no more than the humble torch. Well may be not such a humble torch, but a plethora of lighting devices he has acquired and constructed himself over the years. He demonstrated many of these devices, and techniques he used to construct these images while showing some of the amazing images he had produced over the time he has been making light painting images. The time and skill he has put into the images he showed us was truly jaw dropping.

We have arranged a practical light painting workshop with Tim Gamble for club members on Thursday the 3rd of October. This will start at 6:30pm and last for about 2 hours. We meet in the car park of the Conservative Club and then either proceed to Lindow Common or use the clubroom, depending on the weather. Tim will bring lots of light painting equipment for us to use, and will help us produce some interesting images.
The workshop is mostly funded by the club but is a nominal charge of £10 per participant. Take-up so far has been very low and you must book as soon as possible for the event to go ahead.
