We had the final competition of the season this week, and what a competition it was. The standard of the images submitted was, as always very high, with some great critique and feedback from our guest judge.

"Aerial/Drone photography"

The first speaker after the easter break will be Steve Sparks giving us a talk on "Aerial/Drone Photography".

As we all remember Steve was a member of our previous clubs venue at WGPS. We hope all our current members come along and support Steve during his visit to our club. 

Project Group

The next Project Group meeting is Tuesday 21st April 2026.

The chosen themes are 

1. Droplets

2. Chocolate

Two interesting challenges there,  let us see what we come up with. Remember this is non competitive group , the interpretation is up to you, we are looking for a presentation of around five minutes comprising of new images.  

Your entries should be on an otherwise clean memory stick which will be loaded onto the computer at the start of the evening. Sizing is not required (providing the file sizes are not too large) in addition could you please use the JPEG format, it make for an easier upload.

A photography exhibition brought to you by Capture One.

For seven years, photographer Jack Eames has been joining sessions run by Haircuts4Homeless across the UK, making portraits of the people he met there. Thirty photographs framed not by hardship, but by presence, dignity, and character.

Admission is free, however any proceeds from donations and the purchase of prints will go directly to Haircuts4Homeless and its continuing work across the UK.
